Insurance Licensing Requirements in Missouri:

Missouri does not require pre-licensing training before taking the licensing exam. Applicants for Life, Health, Property and Casualty insurance should prepare for the exam and register with the Testing Provider: Pearson VUE at 800-274-5993 or http://www.pearsonvue.com.

Continuing Education Requirements in Missouri:

Continuing education is required for all resident Missouri producers. A total of 16 hours of CE credit is required every two years. A minimum of 3 hours must be on the subject of professional ethics for the insurance producer. 

 

Producers selling long term care insurance or flood insurance must complete supplemental training before selling these products.

In order to sell flood insurance, each producer must complete a one-time 3-hour continuing education course about the federal flood insurance program.

In order to sell long term care insurance producers must have completed a one-time, 8-hour initial training course. 4 hours of ongoing training must be completed every 24 months after taking the initial 8-hour course in order to continue transacting long term care insurance.

Date is the license issuance date, biennially

Carryover Hours:
Excess hours may be carried over to the next renewal period

Course Repetition:

Courses may not be taken for credit more than once in a renewal period

Reporting Method:
CE credits are reported online to SBS Online within 30 days after course completion
